Yes it’s “Launch Day” for the long awaited CD from our local Sea Shanty singers The Wellington Wailers.  They have teamed up with our Shoreham Lifeboat crew for a day of Lifeboat shenanigans!!!

Starting at 2pm on Sunday 11th June there will be a presentation by the Wailers on the history of ship building and shanty singing in the port of Shoreham and around the world.  TWICE SOLD OUT when presented at the Marlipins Museum recently it really is something to behold!!!  The Wellington Wailers will also be performing songs from the new CD throughout the second half of the performance.

There will also be Lifeboat fund raising games and family friendly shenanigans (treasure hunt, lucky dip etc) happening in the garden along with a fish BBQ (sausage alternative) supported by the lifeboat crew themselves who will run a competition called “Get Your Kit On” !!!

This is a fund raising afternoon for the Lifeboat Association and for every CD sold a proportion of the sale will go directly to the RNLI. Rounding off the afternoon there will be Americana music from three of Sussex’s finest players, Bagge Armer and Piggot.
