Marie Dance is a singer songwriter from the South Coast of England.  After Touring and playing in various rock and folk/rock bands since 2003 Marie is now working on her first solo album as well as writing and recording new material for her band the purple shoes who will be booking gigs throughout 2016.

Marie has been the front woman and co songwriter for Thailand Based Band the Tonic Rays Where she made a living playing music around South East Asia for three years back in 2005 – 2008. The Tonic rays debut album was rated at Number six in Americas billboard charts  for album of the year  2008

Marie returned to the UK in 2008, She formed a new Worthing Based band more in the style of folk/rock and started playing around the south coast, PaperFaces fronted by Marie Dance toured and recorded for five years, supporting local up and coming Brighton acts, they also played at Brixton Jamm In London in April 2013 supporting  Jazz legend Courtney Pine. Although they never recorded there debut album, they did record three EPs, Some of the songs from these EP’s can be heard at  www.soundcloud.com/marie_dance27.  PaperFaces featured in Many Brighton Music magazines, they won a public vote on Heart FM radio to headline the main stage at the Brighton Marathon in 2010. BBC introducing also showed some interest in 2011 by playing a track ‘Full Moon’  from there First EP on BBC2 Radio.
