Opening our Beer Festival, a pleasure to welcome the Shoreham Chamber Choir – conducted by James Elias

The choir was founded in 1984 by Lena Urquhart and consists of local singers practising in St Nicolas Church, Old Shoreham.  The choir sing beautiful choral music acapella, both sacred and secular.  They have sung extensively in Sussex and in 2019 they undertook a tour of five churches, fund-raising for the Churches Conservation Trust, and have also toured abroad in Germany and Norway.

James Elias started singing at a young age at Cambridge and has been conducting since his early 20s, specialising in small unaccompanied choirs.  He also composes.
